Nestled in the flagstone and adobe walls surrounding the mill and the Ranch Store are gardens filled with flowers, shrubs, and trees. Meandering paths work their way through vibrant annuals and ground hugging perennials: hollyhocks, sunflowers, lavender, Russian Sage, roses, columbines and much more. Numerous picnic tables are placed in the gardens and underneath the willows on the acequia for leisurely snacking.

The gardens are open throughout the summer.

The Salman Ranch Café offers an informal menu with homemade chilé and tamales, frito pies, tacos, sandwiches, hotdogs, fresh garden salad, desserts, and our famous soft ice cream drenched in fresh berries and homemade raspberry topping. Ice cream and cold drinks are essential to your happiness in our low humidity weather.

The Ranch Café is open during the berry harvest Tuesdays through Fridays from 11am to 4pm, and until 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It is closed on Mondays.
