The Salman Ranch Nursery opened its doors in the spring of 2008. Since its opening the Nursery has expanded to five large cold frames filled with weather hearty annuals, perennials, and vegetables. The Nursery is open from 9 am to 3 pm daily through July, and we have healthy, vibrant perennials and annuals from which to choose.
Nursery History
The branch of the family in Santa Fe (William Salman, his son David Salman, Ava Salman and Marjorie Salman) have grown Salman Santa Fe Greenhouses and High Country Gardens into one of Santa Fe, New Mexico's premier businesses. The High Country Gardens Catalogue is the largest xeriscaping catalogue in the United States. David Salman is known throughout the United States as a pioneer and innovator in xeriscaping.
Their expertise was shared with Salman Ranch Nursery employees, and under the direction of Michael Salman, the Salman Ranch Nursery has grown into the outstanding North Central New Mexico nursery. Josephine Brizal, our chief grower, worked closely with Santa Fe Greenhouses for over a decade, and her plants, grown from seed, are incomprable. The perennials, annuals, and vegetables, propagated in five large cold frames, are grown to thrive in the high country of northern New Mexico.
About The Nursery
Hours of Operation
The Nursery opens on April 28, 2012, and will remain open through July. We will be open 6 days a week, closed on Mondays, from 9 am to 5pm, throughout the month of May. Hours will be posted on this site for June and July. We have planted our annuals, our perinneals, and our vegetables, and all seem to be thriving. We look forward to having you buy your Mother's Day plant from us as well as your flower bed and vegetable garden stock. We will have planting soil for sale as well.
